Anna came to us concerned about the thinning and fragility of her hair. While only in her early 20s, Anna had used chemical relaxers and wore tight weaves for years. She had started to notice her hair becoming weak and prone to breakage, resulting in a 20% density loss. Although her scalp was healthy, the mechanical stress and chemical damage had left her hair looking thin and vulnerable. Anna wanted to repair the damage and restore her hair’s natural health and fullness.

After Anna came to us concerned about the thinning and fragility of her hair.
We developed an intensive 12-month treatment plan for Anna’s hair loss issues using 20% Vitastim and 20% Biostim, applied twice daily. The high-strength formulas were chosen to target the extensive damage caused by chemical treatments and manual tension, strengthening the hair strands, promoting new growth, and restoring her hair’s density and structure.
After a year of treatment, Anna’s hair made a remarkable recovery. The damaged areas grew back well, making her hair stronger, thicker, and less prone to breakage. The transformation repaired her hair and restored her confidence, allowing her to enjoy a fuller, healthier head of hair.
"Gary explained the impact relaxers and tight styles were having on my hair. The treatment worked faster than I expected. I have my edges back."
— Anna, Traction Alopecia client
Traction Alopecia is hair loss caused by repeated or prolonged tension on hair follicles from tight hairstyles such as braids, weaves, ponytails, or extensions. It most commonly affects women of Afro-Caribbean and South Asian heritage, where culturally popular tight styling practices create sustained pulling pressure on the follicles. When identified and treated early, Traction Alopecia is reversible — but prolonged tension can lead to permanent follicle damage, making early specialist assessment critical.
