See how we helped Sue reverse her hair loss symptoms caused by early-onset female pattern hair loss and telogen effluvium. With our intensive, personalised treatment plan, we restored her hair’s volume.
Before
After Sue, a woman in her late 30s, came to us distressed about her rapidly thinning hair. Diagnosed with female pattern hair loss due to early-onset menopause and compounded by telogen effluvium. At the time of diagnosis, she had lost approximately 60% of her hair density. Although her scalp was healthy, the combined impact of hormonal changes and stress-induced shedding made her hair appear noticeably thin and fragile, affecting her confidence and self-image.
We developed an intensive 12-month treatment plan for Sue using 20% Vitastim and 20% Biostim, applied twice daily. Additionally, we included the Puls Follicle Builder treatment three times a week to further stimulate follicle activity, promote new growth, and strengthen the hair. This comprehensive approach was designed to counteract the dual impact of Telogen effluvium and hormonal hair loss, aiming to restore density, slow the progression, and rejuvenate her hair.
After a year of consistent treatment, Sue’s hair made a dramatic turnaround. The excessive shedding slowed significantly, and her hair density and volume improved noticeably, filling in the thinning areas and giving her a fuller, healthier appearance. The success of the treatment not only rejuvenated her hair but also helped restore her confidence and sense of self.
"I lost so much hair so quickly — it was terrifying. Gary understood the complexity of what was happening and put together a really intensive plan. Seeing my hair grow back thicker was the most wonderful thing."
— Sue, Telogen Effluvium client
Telogen Effluvium is a form of diffuse, temporary hair loss caused by a disruption to the normal hair growth cycle. A significant physical or emotional trigger — such as illness, surgery, major stress, nutritional deficiency, or hormonal change — causes a large proportion of hairs to simultaneously enter the resting (telogen) phase, leading to widespread shedding two to three months later. In most cases, Telogen Effluvium is reversible once the underlying trigger is addressed.

“Telogen Effluvium is one of the most misunderstood forms of hair loss. It looks alarming, but in the vast majority of cases it's completely reversible with the right approach.”
