Abbey, a young Asian woman in her mid-20s, came to us deeply concerned about her rapidly thinning hair. Abbey’s hair loss was severe; she experienced an estimated 60% reduction in density. We diagnosed Abbey with both female pattern hair loss and telogen effluvium (TE), a condition marked by excessive hair shedding triggered by stress or health changes. Although her scalp was healthy, the dual impact of these conditions was taking a toll on her appearance and self-esteem.

After Abbey, a young Asian woman in her mid-20s, came to us deeply concerned about her rapidly thinning hair.
We created a 12-month treatment regimen tailored to her needs using 15% Vitastim and 15% Biostim, applied twice daily in the morning and evening. The goal was to halt the shedding caused by TE, stimulate dormant follicles, and improve overall hair density, addressing both underlying causes simultaneously.
After 12 months of treatment, Abbey saw a dramatic turnaround. Her hair density improved significantly, and she regained volume and thickness. Abbey’s results were a testament to the effectiveness of combining the right treatment with dedicated care, giving her back her vibrant hair and boosting her confidence.
"My hair was thinning so badly I was scared to look in the mirror. Gary understood exactly what was causing it and the treatment tackled both conditions. Twelve months later, I can honestly say I feel like myself again."
— Abbey, Telogen Effluvium client
Telogen Effluvium is a form of diffuse, temporary hair loss caused by a disruption to the normal hair growth cycle. A significant physical or emotional trigger — such as illness, surgery, major stress, nutritional deficiency, or hormonal change — causes a large proportion of hairs to simultaneously enter the resting (telogen) phase, leading to widespread shedding two to three months later. In most cases, Telogen Effluvium is reversible once the underlying trigger is addressed.

“Telogen Effluvium is one of the most misunderstood forms of hair loss. It looks alarming, but in the vast majority of cases it's completely reversible with the right approach.”
